DreamHouse ‘Ewa Beach has been awarded a start-up grant of $567,804 from the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Innovation & Improvement.  The award will span three years, with the first installment of $342,300 available immediately.  DreamHouse ‘Ewa Beach is 1 of 9 start-up charter schools in the entire country to received this federal award.

"This is an investment in our children, our families, and our community; it is just the beginning," said Alex Teece, founding school director.
The grant will support the launch and development of DreamHouse ‘Ewa Beach, an approved public charter school that will primarily serve children and families of the ‘Ewa Moku.  The school will focus on homegrown leadership development, 21st century skill building, and positive community impact, and will open with it’s founding 6th grade cohort of 100 students next August 2019.
